Cuisine: 8 Service: 8 Decor: 7 Value: 8 Overall: 8 Always a good meal here. Been coming here for so ling and the consistency is impressive. Last night was no different and everything tasted fantastic. We started by eviscerating the delicious bread with all the dips from Mixed Appetizer Platter and Tarama Salad. We could have eaten a whole meal of just this stuff. Group favorites were the Eggplant and Tarama Salad. Then came the next round of appetizers. We ordered two Octopus Salad, which was a group favorite. Calf Liver was flavorful, while the Fried Calamari was super tender. Pan Fried Anchovies were good, but a bit fishy for some. For entrees, we got two whole fish, Bronzino and St. Peter's Fish. Both were grilled perfectly, tender and moist. Lastly, we had the Fried Red Mullet, which were crispy and flaky. As for dessert, we shared two orders of their awesome Knuefe. The texture of the phyllo dough is fried perfectly, and it wasn't over the top sweet, just the right amount. All in all, a fantastic meal with good friends that was delicious and relatively healthy. What more can you really ask for? Isn't this one of the biggest joys of life?

I happen to be in this area for an appt and was starving ! Didn't take me long to look around my surroundings and just Walked in and was happy to see how cute and clean it was inside ! The food was delicious, excellent atmosphere, great price and the service was good. The free glass of wine w a fish entree offer is non existent. That was disappointing. The food made up for that though !

Local neighborhood establishment featuring an amazing variety of fresh seafood and kabab dishes. Everything is freshly prepared and tastefully presented, from appetizers to desserts. Warm bread is served promptly. For mains, we ordered grilled El Dorado and Lamb Kabab. Superb selection to choose from and we absolutely enjoyed both. Kunefe makes an excellent dessert. Great with Turkish tea or coffee. Warm and friendly service included. Highly recommend and an instant favorite!!

I've had this bookmarked for a while now. I finally got a chance to eat here. If you check in, it was quite confusing if you could redeem the offer, and the waiter didn't understand my question. It was for a free glass of wine if you ordered a fish dish. However, the waiter offered me a bogo for wine, but I didn't want two glasses. My friend and I ordered the Octopus Salad, which was refreshing. It had equal parts Octopus and vegetables. I'm glad that the restaurant didn't scrimp on Octopus. Also, we got the surf & turf with meat. Since we shared everything, it wasn't too much food. The portion size is pretty good here. I would like to come back to try their other dishes here as well.

This is my favorite spot in the whole Rego Park area. Solid Mediterranean food with a homestyle flair, not too oily or greasy. Lots of locals dining inside, so you know it's good. Their specialty is the grilled fish, which I highly recommend. I got the grilled branzino (whole) entree which was definitely shareable between two people. It was lightly seasoned, which is the way I like it. Alongside the entree, we also got the grilled octopus salad and small mixed appetizer platter (highly recommend the platter, it gives you a bit of everything from hummus to roasted eggplant to baba ganoush) and comes with free bread (They have bread refills too, which I suggest you take advantage of because they make their bread in-house I think. It is fresh out of the oven and sooo good.). The salad is pretty good too, but I would probably not get again since it is pricey and slightly too salty for me. Overall, I had a great experience with Black Sea Fish and Grill and would love to come back to try more of their grilled fare!

I took the express bus that goes to Rego Park/Forest Hills, and it was late, so I stopped by this Turkish spot after reading and hearing about how good and affordable the food is. The place was not busy, and there were a few diners, mostly regulars where the owners and staff know them on a first name basis. Since I was by myself, I only had the popular charred octopus salad with Chardonnay and ended with the sweet pumpkin dessert that I ended up taking home. The complementary homemade bread is die for. The owner and staff were very accommodating. I'd definitely return hopefully with more people to try more of their dishes.
